London. The city of dreams, opportunities and where being different is welcomed with open arms. This big city can be anything you want it to be, it is the perfect place if being free, meeting new people and a lifestyle that is fast pace is what you need. London means something different for each individual person who lives there, it has an irreplaceable place in each one of their hearts as everyone interprets it differently. Don’t get me wrong its not everyone’s cup of tea, but if it is then you will know the many perks this city has to offer outweigh everything else life in London might throw at you. This specific city is the perfect place for any young person wanting to start their career, study or have an independent lifestyle, this city has no limits. Living in London is a daunting thing especially if city life is far from what you are used to. It will take some time to adjust but trust me if you have an open mind this city can be whatever you want it to be and more.
Making this big move can come with a mixture of emotions and worries which is completely natural, it's a big city and a big change. London at times isn't the easiest place to live, even though it is full of people you can also feel extremely lonesome at the same time. This feeling may consume you when you first make this move or it may appear every so often, but learning to deal with change and adjusting to a way of life you are unfamiliar with can be a challenge and is also an important lesson in life.
This city never sleeps, it is chaotic, manic and at times intense, these factors can overpower the many benefits and beauty that London has to offer. Why you chose this city to call home can often be overridden with the overwhelming feelings that comes with such a large city but I believe you get out of something as much as you put in. If you go into this move with an open mind and no prejudgments, then you can see this city how you want to and be in power when it comes to your time and memories here.
A large majority of the people that live in this particularity city came here to fulfil a goal or vision they have for themselves and their future. A lot of factors can set this back and make this dream feel further and further away but life isn’t easy and good things come to those who wait. I know first hand the fear, rejection and time that goes into pursuing the dream that drew you to London in the first place, but I also know the excitement, opportunities and freedom that comes along with it as well. I found myself in this large and loud city and you can too. Just give it time and enjoy everything London throws at you, the good, the bad and the ugly because every situation gives you the opportunity to learn and grow from it.
